まちなかスノーパーク（9：00～20：00）

～寒さを吹き飛ばそう！豪雪体験アクティビティ～

■巨大すべり台
■雪遊びFreeスポット
■WEST出展エリア（9：00～16：00）
アウトドア用品で有名なWESTが企画した、雪と間近で触れ合える体験ブースが出展されます。
（入場料：500円 ※こども1人につき保護者1名無料）
➀雪玉ストラックアウト
自分で作った雪玉で的を狙う。
制限時間内にビンゴ出来れば景品GET！
➁ファットバイクでの雪上走行
雪の上を太いタイヤでコース走行体験ができます。
※ヘルメットを装着していただきます。
※雪質によっては走行が難しい場合がございます。
➂ビーコン探し
雪に隠された発信機を、ビーコン探査機で探そう。
1組ごとのチャレンジです。発見できれば景品ゲット！
（ビーコンとは…電波を送受信する携帯型の無線装置です。雪崩に遭ったときに自分の埋まっている位置を捜索者に伝えることができ、雪崩に遭った埋没者の位置を探し当てることができる道具）
➃雪中キャンプ・雪上歩行体験
雪国に住む地元の人こそ、あまり知らない冬キャンや雪上歩行ができるスノーシューについて体験しながら学べます！
➄ECOワックスで、そりビュンビュン
環境にやさしいスキーワックスをご持参のそりに塗布します。

～女子サッカーチーム“FC越後妻有”のふれあい雪上サッカー～

女子サッカー選手が棚田の担い手として移住・就農し、プレーする農業実業団チームである、FC越後妻有。昨年は北信越リーグ2部で優勝を果たし、今年は北信越リーグ1部に挑戦。地元で頑張る女子サッカー選手と雪上サッカーで楽しもう！

～ミニSL・ミニ列車乗車体験～

TOPPAKUパーク（9：00～17：00）

十日町市博物館では雪まつりの開催に合わせて博物館周辺で“TOPPAKUパーク”を開設します！屋外のパークで行う、究極の雪国とおかまちの昔の雪あそびチャレンジや、ほんやらどう（かまくら）での民族衣装着用体験など盛りだくさん！博物館内では松之山地域の奇祭「婿投げ」「スミぬり」のＶＲ体験や、わら細工などの生活体験工房などもあります。また博物館駐車場にはキッチンカーが出店されるほか、市内外のおいしいパン屋さんによる販売もありますよ！

雪灯の小径（ゆきあかりのこみち）

十日町駅西口からメインエリア「まちなかスノーパーク」まで向かう動線として、雪壁で覆われた緑道「雪灯の小径」があります。周囲の雰囲気と遮断することで雪国の世界観を演出し、16時頃からはLEDの灯籠で雪壁がライトアップされるため、幻想的な空間が広がります。

■軽便鉄道パネル展
信濃川発電所工事の際、資材運搬の要として活躍した軽便鉄道。その歴史を過去路線だった緑道にパネル展として展示します。
緑の広場（9：00～20：00）
ほんやら洞の設置、夕方からはほんやら洞内部のライトアップを行います。

Machinaka Snow Park (9:00am to 8:00pm)

A great area to play in the snow and embrace the cold!

• Snow slide
• Free play area
• WEST Exhibition Area (9:00am to 4:00pm)

An exhibition sponsored by outdoor lifestyle brand WEST. (Admission fee is 500yen, and free for children [1 per adult]).

• Snowball Strikeout

Make your own snowballs, and if you can hit the targets within the allotted time frame you will win a prize!

• Snow Biking

You’ve likely not considered this sort of an activity, but the thick tires on these snow bikes are suited for snowy landscapes. Please note that we will have you wear a helmet. Additionally, the path may be difficult depending on snow conditions.

• Treasure Hunt

Search for a lit beacon signal hidden in the snow. This is a group challenge, and if you can find the beacon, you’ll win a prize!

• Snowtop Camping and Snowshoeing

Even the local residents don’t get to do these activities very often, so it’s a fantastic learning experience for all!

• Zoom Zoom Sledding!

These sleds will have an eco-friendly wax coating applied to their undersides that will really make them zoom. (Like the movie Christmas Vacation, but safer.)

Food and Drink Stands

Most of these will be found at Machinaka Snow Park’s cafeteria area, but a small handful will be near the Tokamachi City Museum (see Toppaku Park further below).

Snow Soccer with FC Echigo Tsumari

FC Echigo Tsumari is the local Tokamachi City women’s soccer team. They do a ton of community outreach in addition to their games, and this year they’ll be playing soccer in the snow!

Mini Train Rides

Operating Hours: 10am-12pm, 1pm-6pm
Price: 200yen per person (if the child needs their guardian to ride with, the guardian may ride free)
Please note this activity is weather dependent.

Toppaku Park

The Toppaku Park, named after the nearby Tokamachi City Museum, is just a short distance away from the Machinaka Snow Park. This is a great place to learn about Tokamachi’s history with the snow and offers a ton of interactive experiences, including various snow challenges and dressing up in local fashions of the past inside snow huts! If you go inside the City Museum, a VR experience awaits you of the Matsunoyama event “Mukonage and Suminuri,” or “Groom-Throwing and Ash Smearing,” a local wacky tradition held every January 15^th. You can also participate in some straw craft making. Additionally, there will be a handful of food trucks and other stalls, including delicious bakeries based in and outside of Tokamachi.

Snowlight Path

A path surrounded by snow walls can be found from the West Entrance of the Tokamachi Station to the Machinaka Snow Park called the Snowlight Path. There are tons of LED lights embedded in the snow walls, and around 4pm they will be lit up to create a beautiful display of pretty lights that are sure to make you feel like you’ve stepped into a magical winter wonderland.

Additionally, the snow huts will also be lit up in the late afternoon/early evening.

Railway Panel Exhibition

This railway existed to transport the building materials for the Shinano River Power Station. An exhibition honoring the history of this railway will be on display during the Snow Festival.
